This project recreates technologies from the past and refer to the glorification of progress in the Soviet textile design to reflect on the current working conditions of women in a confrontation with craft work.

Uniformes rusos (Russian uniforms) starting point is an investigation on the textile, the design of fabrics, and the making of clothes and uniforms in post-revolutionary Russia specifically, the work of textile design carried out in the twenties and thirties by Lotonina and Stepanova, as well as the manifestos about the social role of art linked with clothing.
