Plataforma Sonora (Sound Platform) is an architectural intervention that expands sounds, and consists of a metal structure and a sound piece. This composition is based on the recording of 30 mechanical alarm clocks, in which the sound of the passing of a minute is unique, despite all the clocks being mechanical.

This piece intends to reflect on the present and memory, our activities and schedules, as well as the concepts of sleeping and resting, through the possibilities of manipulating the perception of time and its sound.

Through using the programmed mechanical rhythm of old alarm clocks, this project explores the metaphor of the elasticity of time, as well as the physical property that allows us to speak of continuous symmetries or translation of time. Between these two levels, this piece works to connect harmonic qualities and manifest the potential energy stored in sound waves.
