DETALLES DEL PROYECTO

The piece is inspired by the Danza de los Negritos, a dance of Totonac origin that is danced in the mountainous area of the states of Veracruz, Puebla and Hidalgo in Mexico, as well as in several Latin American countries. It is part of a broad project to recover and reread traditional dances of pre-Hispanic and colonial origin based on the analysis of the narrative, symbolic, sound and choreographic parts that compose them.

The piece was a commissioned by the 2020 Grants and Commissions Program of the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO)
