Configurations. Games for thinkers

DETALLES DEL PROYECTO

Configurations. Games for thinkers is a series of works based on academic games designed in the ’60s by professors from different North American universities who used mathematical and grammatical logic mechanisms in regular board games.

The play “kits” consisted of cards, dice, board, and a book of rules and explanations. These games were designed to cause the participant to understand the formulas in a logical way.

For this series, the figures that the mathematical equations produce were embroidered following the same rules given to the players. These equations, once embroidered by a tailor specialized in monograms, draw a perimeter, a geometric figure as a representation of mathematical practice.
