DETALLES DEL PROYECTO

The march, produced for the Tania Candiani exhibition. Cerimônia, in the Vermelho Gallery, in Sao Paulo, is a large blanket that covered the façade of the gallery during the exhibition. The textile installation refers to posters from demonstrations held in Brazil during the last 10 years. The phrases highlight the female role in demands within the logic of intersectional feminism, addressing public health, security and equality.

The posters maintained the original typography when embroidered on cotton fabric. Once sewn onto the façade, they form a large collaborative quilt.

La Marcha was made with Grupo Flor de Cantuta, Cooperative of Bolivian immigrant women that works with sewing and embroidery.
