DETALLES DEL PROYECTO

Seven hundred samples of a community’s favorite food in Kansas, USA, were used for this project. The food was collected, identified, and packaged in vacuum plastic bags, to be sewn as a “Quilt.”

A “Quilt” is a padded bed cover composed of several fabric fragments. A quilt has the peculiarity of being a group job since a different person sews each part.

This project functions as an x-ray of eating habits of a community, where the relationship with this group of people plays a fundamental role in the conceptualization and execution of the Food Quilt.
