DETALLES DEL PROYECTO

Campo semántico de olores (Semantic field of scents) consists of a visual-literary essay that refers to the semantic universe of scents.

The script of this visual essay begins with a written “catalog” of terms that refer to smell in different linguistic families, accompanied by visual impulses connected to the meaning of these terms by affinity in color and sound.

The structure of this project consists on an empirical interpretation of the cognitive theory that attempts to decipher how the brain learns to make meaning connections through olfactory stimuli, and from studies that apply this knowledge to artificial intelligence.

Project in collaboration with Gerardo Zapata (research and texts), and Ollin Miranda (camera, sound, and editing).
