In El sonido del fuego, multimedia installation (sound and video piece), part of the collective exhibition “Intersections. Six Approaches to Physics ”, Candiani shows her interest in interdisciplinary collaborations and in addressing various fields of production, artisanal and industrial.

This piece combines some of the constant concerns in her work, such as the use of technology, the recording of labor processes and the choreography of labor, but also where, according to her words, her artistic practice is increasingly oriented “towards materiality. of sound ”and language, in this case that of fire in collusion with minerals.

10 colored blown glass trumpets, produced by Nouvel Studio and Yunque Fábrica de Arte emit the sound of the moment of their creation, when they went from mineral to glass thanks to the work of fire and air, the sound composition of Rogelio Sosa floods the room where the reflections created by the light are projected through the trumpets.

The installation is completed by the video “El color del fuego” that shows the production process of the blown glass trumpets that are part of the piece.
